Unstable Hybrids / variedades híbridas
Hybrids- this description is meant to educate you the buyer, hobbyist and grower on what we call hybrid or a cross.
When you see and F1 or F3 of even an F6 like you might see on my site in relation to a hybrid, the " F " stands for Filial meaning Genetics Of or relating to a generation or the sequence of generations following the parental generation. So for example if you pollinated the Bhut Jolokia AKA Ghost pepper with the Trinidad scorpion, collected the seeds from the pollinate pod, grew those seeds out the next year - first year that would be F1 and then the following year, second year would be F2 and so on.
Most varieties will become 75% stable around F4 or F5 and typically need 7-9 generations to become 99% stable. All hybrids sold on this site are from experienced horticulturalist and botanist from South America, Australia and Europe. Hybrids vary in shape and size, color sometimes from year to year
